Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Lungdi account and your data, whether or not you still have the app. Lungdi is operated by Lushai Tech.

Option 1: delete it in the app

1. Open the Lungdi app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Delete account.
3. Confirm. You are signed out of every device straight away.

Option 2: ask us to delete it

If you can't open the app (lost phone, app uninstalled), email lushaitechnologies@gmail.com from any address and include the phone number on the account. We will verify that you own the number and then delete the account the same way.

Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.

What happens, and when

• Immediately: your profile is hidden from everyone and you are signed out on all devices. In existing chats you appear as an unavailable user.
• Within 30 days: you can change your mind by signing back in with the same phone number.
• After 30 days: we permanently delete your photos, profile picture, date of birth, location, bio and other profile details, your interests, connections, favourites, hidden list, profile-view records, notifications, sessions, device tokens and chat keys.
• After 180 days: we delete your name, email and phone number. We keep these until then because Indian law (the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021) requires it. After this the phone number can be used to create a new account.

What we keep

After deletion we keep a small set of records that no longer carry your name or contact details:

• Payment records, kept for tax and accounting obligations.
• Blocks and reports, kept for the safety of other people.
• Message details (sender, time, type, receipts, and never the content), so other people's chat lists keep working. Message content is deleted from our servers once delivered.

Verification selfies are deleted immediately after the face check, so there is nothing left to remove.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought through a store. A subscription bought on iPhone must be cancelled in your Apple ID settings. A Razorpay autopay can be cancelled in the app or through your bank or UPI app. Cancel before deleting so you are not charged again.
